What’s Urban Furniture? Well, this is one my favourite topic. Let's call Urban Furniture “what dresses cities”, what remains outside when everybody goes home. Benches, street lights, stairs, handrails… Why are they so heavily used by citizens but most of the times ignored? Over time, they wear out, they witness fascinating scenes, public or private. Year after year, they build character, almost a soul. They sometimes get derelict, get fixed or get replaced. Temporary, moving, permanent, these functional inhabitants are all unique. Are we ungrateful not to give them the attention they deserve? Let’s decide that some of my photographs and your interest in them will help to fix that.
